Phantastic rosewood writing desk, designed in the 1960's by Kai Kristiansen, manufactured by FM Møbler. Very high quality item with many beautiful details, like the floating top. The back of the table is equipped with three storage compartments, so the desk can be placed free standing.

Kai Kristiansen (*1929) is a danish furniture designer. After he completed his apprenticeship at Danske Kunstakaemi in Copenhagen (1948), he worked a couple of years as a journeyman cabinetmaker under Kaare Klint. In 1955, Kristiansen opened his own design studio, which worked for some of the best danish furniture manufacturers, amongst others for Kjaersgaard and Fritz Hansen.
Kai Kristiansen is well known for his high quality design in teak and rosewood.
