Six Compass Stacking Chairs, 1950's
Six Industrial Design stacking chairs, manufactured in the 1960's in the Netherlands. Stunning design, which reminds of works by Jean Prouvé. The chairs were designed for long-term seating and are very comfortable. They are stackable and chainable. Their frames are made of grey painted sectional steel, and the shells consit of several layers of ultra thin wood. The surface is laminated with a thin layer of transparent plastic, which makes it water resistant.
All six chairs are in a good condition, with the usual signs of tear and wear.
