Large dining or conference table 'Spiegelei', designed in 1976 by Hanns-Werner von Wild. Unique piece between art and design, designed by von Wild as his contribution to Pop Art of the 1960s and 70s, but also as a functional piece of furniture. Although designed in 1976, the table was not built until 2016, as a unique piece commissioned by Michael Böhm, a grandson of Professor Ernst Böhm. Until recently, the table was on permanent loan in the Munich showroom of lamp designer Ingo Maurer. More about Hanns-Werner von Wild here.
The table consists of a maple base and table tops made of high-gloss lacquered MDF. The 'egg yolk' is rotatably mounted, the 'ketchup stain' can be folded down and pushed under the 'egg white'.
Spiegelei is handmade in the highest craftsmanship perfection in the Wildwerkstätten Berlin, which were founded by Hanns-Werner von Wild and are now a workshop community of carpenters, designers and architects. The table is marked with a brand stamp, and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
The condition of the table is excellent, with very little traces of use.
The dimensions: diameter approx. 250 cm, height 75 cm.
