A Pair of Box Chairs, Enzo Mari, Aleph Atlantide
Box chairs, designed in 1971 by Enzo Mari. The Box is the first chair Mari ever designed, and is an answer to the increasing use of plastics and the trend to mass production of that period.
The chair consists of only four different parts, which can be assembled and disassembled with no use of tools. All parts can be stored under the seat, so the chair can be easily transported.
The Box chair is a milestone in design history, and hard to find in the offered colour!
The chairs consist of blue plastic and silver coated tubular steel.
The consition of the set is good, with only minor patina.

Enzo Mari (*1932) is an italian designer and object artist. Mari works for several manufacturers, amongst others for Gavina, Artemide, Castelli and Olivetti. He also published numerous design books, and taught at several academies and universities. Enzo Mari livers and works in Milan.
