Pendant Lamp, Hans Agne Jakobsson, Ellysett Markaryd
Pendant lamp, designed in the early 1960's by Hans Agne Jakobsson, manufactured by Ellysett Markaryd.
The lamp consists of extremely thin teak wood lamellas, which allows the light to go through and produces a beautiful warm light.
Hans-Agne Jakobsson was one of the most important swedisch lamp designers of the 20th century. After an apprenticeship as a cabinetmaker and industrial designer he first worked at General Motors whilst the design of lamps was just a hobby. Later Jakobsson founded the Hans-Agne Jakobsson AB in Markaryd, which distributed his lamps in Sweden and abroad.
Hans-Agne Jakobsson is best known for his lamella lamps, which diffuse a soft and glare-free light.
