Revolt Chairs, Friso Kramer, Ahrend
Revolt Chairs, designed in 1953 by Friso Kramer for Ahrend / de Cirkel. Kramer made the frame of these chairs of folded sheet steel, a material also used by Jean Prouvé at the same time. The back rest is attached to the frame with a rubber buffer, which allows it to slightly swing and adapt to the posture.
When it was designed, the Revolt chair was extremely innovative. Today it is a timeless classic of chair design. It was re-edited by Ahrend in 2004. The offered chairs are from this re-edition.
