Sideboard, Georg Satink, WK Möbel
Sideboard from the WK-Satik series, designed in 1952 by Georg Satink, manufactured by WK Möbel. The WK-Satink series consisted of 28 different pieces, which all could be combined, which makes this program one of the first modular concepts for the living room.
The sideboard from this series is outstanding, not only for its beautiful propotions, but also for the fact, that Satink used different wood types for body, doors and interior.
Georg Satink was a German architect, interior designer and designer. After his apprenticeship at the school for applied arts in Cologne, he worked as a designer for Deutsche Werkstätten Hellerau (from 1934) and for WK-Verband (after world war II).
