Vase with "Filigran"-Dekor, Adele Bolz, Ruscha
Vase with "Filigran" decor, designed in 1960 by Adele Bolz for Ruscha. The decor is one of the most beatiful ones in German mid century pottery. The girls, fish, deers and abstract patterns are sketched extremely light-weightedly, and contrast beautifully with the plain cylindrical shape of the vase. A graet example of Adele Bolz' work!
Adele Bolz was a German ceramic artist. The educated ballet dancer worked for several companies, amongst other for Ruscha and Ulmer Keramik. Her best known work is the Filigran decor, designed in 1960, probably one of the most sought-after decors in german mid century modern pottery. Bolz died in 1964, aged only 50.
